The Congress will take place at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Conference Center in Lisbon, Portugal, July 25-29, 2022.
The Gulbenkian Foundation hosts world class International cultural events, concerts and conferences and offers outstanding facilities, including an auditorium with extraordinary acoustics designed for the Orquestra Gulbenkian. It is fully handicapped-accessible with no physical barriers to impede attendance of members with physical disabilities.
In our registration form, we will provide potential attendees with sensory disabilities an opportunity to self-identify so that we can make arrangements for any assistance that may be needed to fully integrate these individuals into the Congress. Meeting rooms hold from about 150 to 1000 participants and all posters will be displayed two days eachin two separate sessions within the Gulbenkian Conference Hall, adjacent to the auditoria and meeting rooms. The Gulbenkian Gardens offer numerous seating areas of different sizes and configurations, and they are available for student mentoring meetings, lunches and other informal interactions throughout the meeting. Lunches, coffee breaks and the conference banquet (provided as part of the registration fee) will include culturally-sensitive menu choices. The Gulbenkian is easily reached by public transportation, including road, subway, rail, bus, and is located in the heart of Lisbon.
The Lisbon Airport is only ½ hr from the Gulbenkian and near-by accommodations.
The Congress Satellite Meetings will take place at the Ispa – Instituto Universitário in Lisbon, Portugal, July 23-24, 2022.
Ispa – Instituto Universitário is a University College specialized in the fields of Psychology and Life Sciences, located in the picturesque district of Alfama with brightly painted houses and flower filled windows. Meeting rooms with different capacities will host parallel satellite meetings. Many restaurants and bars in the neighborhood will easily allow for networking in the evenings.
The Welcome Reception Venue will take place at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science (IGC) in Oeiras, Portugal, on July 24, 2022.
The IGC hosts a state-of-the-art research facility for biomedical sciences in the field of integrative biology with an emphasis on quantitative, organismal and evolutionary biology. The Welcome reception will be held in the Open-air pateo.
The Mid-Conference Excursion Venue will take place at Lisbon Oceanarium, Lisbon, Portugal, on July 27, 2022.
The Lisbon Oceanarium mission is to promote knowledge of the oceans, making citizens in general aware of the duty to conserve natural heritage, by changing their behavior.
The Conference Banquet Venue will take place at Casa do Alentejo, in downtown Lisbon, on July 29, 2022.
The Conference Banquet will take place at the Restaurant of Casa do Alentejo which is a century old Club that aims to promote the culture of the Southern Portugal region, which has a strong Moorish influence.
